The Week in Review: The Final Frontier

Being an astronaut is tough enough. But what about being a one-way astronaut? More than 165,000 adventurers have applied for a 140 million-mile trip to Mars, to build a new home out there. And with the deadline looming next week, the story has been much in the news lately. Perhaps their dreams were kindled in 1969 when the first, tiny step for man was taken on the moon. Or maybe not—maybe humans have always imagined living among the stars.

Regardless, you don’t need a one-way ticket to Mars to know more about the planet. We’ve got a far easier route: Sit back and flip through some magazines made by our readers that transport you to the edges of the cosmos. Buckle up and bon voyage!
